Union digital chief to take Elmwood role

Elmwood has appointed Simon Robson as its new digital director.

Robson has left his role heading Union Digital to take up the position in January. He will then work across Elmwood’s three offices in Edinburgh, Leeds and London.

Jo Coomber, managing director of Elmwood Edinburgh, said: “We are really looking forward to having Simon on board to lead our digital offering. Elmwood is noted for telling effective and engaging brand stories, whatever the medium and in this respect, our digital projects are no different.”

Meanwhile, in a move to quickly fill the void left by Robson’s departure, Scott Howard will act on a consultancy basis when he returns to The Union as head of digital strategy.

Howard will continue to work on his own business, Digital Aim, combining the role with ongoing work for his existing clients.

Howard, who has previously worked at The Union, has also worked at Navyblue and Bigmouthmedia. He will now work for two days a month with The Union, alongside his current clients which include Kelloggs, New Look and Project Scotland.
