Crown appoints Code as online partner

Paint brand Crown has appointed Code Computerlove to develop its new consumer website and overhaul its digital marketing, following a three way pitch.

The new site will be based around Crown\'s brand strategy \'creating change together\' and will feature new ways to aid the Crown consumer to make colour and product decisions from the comfort of their own home.

Debbie Lynch, Crown brand manager, said: “We recognise that the web has an instrumental role in all stages of the consumer\'s Paint Journey - from deciding to decorate to recommending Crown to others on completion of their makeover - and that we aim to exploit this to its greater
effect.”

The new site will be launched in March 08 and aims to be the first port of call for consumers looking for inspiration, colour and decorating advice.

“The web will form a much greater part of our integrated marketing
activity, which includes colour cards, press, TV and PR, and our online
marketing activity will grow as we develop this communications channel,” Lynch added.

Tony Foggett, managing director of Code Computerlove, said: “We have had a relationship with Crown over the past couple of years, but this was a great opportunity for us to demonstrate how a full service digital solution can benefit the brand.\"
