New Manchester based PR consultancy, Democracy has been launched by Jennifer O’Grady, former senior account director at Brazen.

The agency purports to be the first in the city to specialise in traditional and social media PR.

O’Grady, who spent eleven years at Brazen will work alongside a team of three advisors chosen for their specialist skills in digital media, podcasting and vodcasting.

Speaking of her plans, O’Grady said: “The world of PR has changed. The days of sticking to the trusty press release to reach all of your publics are over. Your brand is defined by the people who talk about you and they are talking in different ways, which means that today public relations can’t just be about talking to the press.”
