CBS Outdoor get on the buses for survey

The research claimed that 79 per cent of commuters preferred buses with a message on them. 80 per cent of those surveyed said they had acted upon an advertisement they’d seen on a bus.

63 per cent agree that buses are a less intrusive media and make their town and city more interesting.

The survey goes as far as suggesting that buses are an effective medium for advert recall, with 86 per cent of people being able to spontaneously recall and advert they\'d seen on a bus, with two out of three taking action as a result.

Maria Clarke, from CBS Outdoor, said: “The survey has revealed that bus advertising is an extremely effective tool for advertisers to expose their key messages.

“Buses are able to mix into the heart of the community which reflects why everyday established brands are effective and successful in getting their brand messages across.”
