Creative Cell rises from from ashes of Red Cell

Simon McQuarrie, former managing director of Red Cell Glasgow, is set to launch a new venture, Creative Cell.

Based in an office in Glasgow’s west end, the agency is thought to offer a similar service to McQuarrie’s former agency, which closed in December.
Red Cell Glasgow, part of the WPP group, was shut following the move of its main client, Cala Homes and its £1m advertising account to Manchester’s Clear Marketing after six years with the agency.
As reported in the last issue of The Drum, the Cala Homes move is thought to be the first instance of TUPE employment measures used in Scottish marketing.
At time of going to press, no one at Creative Cell was available for comment.
