Greggs has appointed Propaganda, the incumbent on the firm's advertising business, to handle its digital account.

The latest appointment will see Propaganda take on digital work that will include web, microsite, e-voucher applications, eCRM and online banners, games and promotions.

Greggs marketing director, Scott Jefferson, said: “We have worked successfully with Propaganda on the ‘Ready when you are’ campaign for more than a year – it now makes sense to formally integrate our digital offering with the campaign through Propaganda.”

The bakery, which competes with brands such as Subway and McDonald's, has recently announced that its profits rose in 2007. Total Greggs sales for the 52 weeks ended 29 December 2007 were reported to have increased by 6.4 per cent to £586 million (2006: £551 million).
