Mediacom last month confirmed that it was looking to build a creative resource, but ruled out that this would be done through acquisition. Managing director Euan Jarvie, had strongly hinted, as part of an interview with The Drum last year, that the company had advanced its plans to build its own dedicated creative function. At the time, many assumed he was looking to acquire, but this is not the case. “We wouldn’t purchase. We understand the value of building. We have a creative resource at Mediacom in London, which we use.  Mediacom Edinburgh might start its own creative function at some point in the future,” said Jarvie.
