Middle Eastern news channel, Al Jazeera is working alongside Aberdeen-based AVC Media Enterprises for its communications and media training.

The Scottish agency was approached by the network to aid the training of its media team at its headquarters in Doha, the capital city of Qatar.

Spencer Buchan, director of AVC, travelled to Doha earlier in the year to look at the organisation’s set up and meet a number of its key individuals with the view to sharing skills and providing training to core members of the Al Jazeera media team.
AVC is already in the process of facilitating training courses for Al Jazeera across a number of disciplines, from television production and filming to editing, PR and journalism.

The partnership has formed ahead of the launch of the network’s English speaking service into the US and Europe.
