Grolsch has appointed Stripe Communications to handle its national UK consumer PR account.

The account was won by the Tangible Group’s PR agency following a three way pitch against two London agencies.

Stripe’s remit is to effectively communicate both the Grolsch brand and its growing product portfolio and to provide integrated brand PR and maximise strategic brand sponsorships including the Grolsch association with Channel 4 original comedy.

The account starts immediately and will be led by Morna McLelland, associate director who joined Stripe from The Glenmorangie Company, having previously also worked for Weber Shandwick in Edinburgh.

Laura Burgoyne, senior brand manager for Grolsch said: “We’re excited about our new relationship with Stripe Communications and what they can bring to our brand consumer activity programme through their integrated approach to PR.”

Juliet Simpson, managing director of Stripe added:  “In just 18 months we've built up a client list which I'm incredibly proud of - winning Grolsch feels like the natural next step for the business and we're absolutely thrilled.

”Grolsch have got some fantastic brand plans for 2008 and we're confident that our integrated PR approach and different way of doing things will make a real difference.”
