Spowart says shop Scottish to beat crunch

One of the most respected figures in UK business has claimed that in the current economic climate, clients should look to Scottish marketing agencies for support.

Addressing members of the SMA, Jim Spowart, founder of both Standard Life Bank and Intelligent Finance said that there has never been a better time than now for clients in Scotland to use their native marketing services companies.

Spowart said: “The current economic climate is a major opportunity for Scottish marketing services firms.

“With clients cutting budgets, it would behove them well to look at the great work availably locally. Why spend a lot of a budget going down to London, when you can get someone to come down the road and adapt your campaign quickly to changes in the marketplace.”

Spowart has been a constant supporter of the Scottish industry, and is currently using The Union for work on price comparison site, People’s Champion.
