Arran Brewery saved from administration by Glasgow marketing consultancy

Arran Brewery which was last month handed over to administrators, has been bought by marketing and business consultancy, Marketing Management Services International.

The brewery which produced beers such as Arran Blonde, Arran Sunset and Arran Dark had a staff of 11 people, went into administration in May, with administrators PricewaterhouseCoopers being brought in to find a new owner for the Arran based company.

The Glasgow based consultancy announced the purchase of the brewery yesterday for an undisclosed sum.

Graham Martin, joint administrator and partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Glasgow, said: "This is an excellent result for the brewery and for the Isle of Arran, and reflects the award-winning nature of the product."

The brewery has in the past worked with design agency, Breeze Creative.
