CheethamBell JWT has unveiled its new head of digital, Jonathan Scott, following this morning’s announcement that Kevin McKay had left the position to become digital technical director at McCann Manchester.

Scott, who was part of the team that wrote the strategy and commercial plan for the launch of Tesco.com (then called Tescodirect.co.uk), took up the role today.

Most recently Scott worked as marketing and new business director at video creative agency Connected Pictures, handling clients including Sony BMG, BBC and Levi’s Europe.

CheethamBell JWT, managing director, Jane Clancy, said: “'We are delighted to welcome Jonathan as our new digital director. He's a great guy, with a superb digital pedigree. He has the skill sets we need to propel us to the next stage in our ambitious growth plan.”

Scott added: “CheethamBell JWT have a fantastic reputation and I am looking forward to expanding the digital offering internally and externally.”

With web experience dating back to 1995, Scott’s career to date has been split between client-side and with digital agencies. He has worked with the likes of AOL Time Warner, News International, G Cap and The Financial Times client-side, as well as agencies Swamp at Brahm, Moonfish Manchester, McCann-I, and Grand Union.
