If Agency has appointed Ian Patterson, previously part of the digital team at BJL, as its new head of digital.

According to If, the appointment follows a number of new business wins for the Manchester-based agency.

Patterson, whose client experience includes Nescafe, British Gas and Morphy Richards, will also be responsible for ensuring existing clients – including Flora London Marathon online partner, realbuzz.com – remain facilitated.

If Agency managing director, Christian James, said: "Initially Ian will be working with realbuzz.com to develop their global networking site, along with being responsible for all digital output and should add to an increasingly successful new business effort."

New wins for the agency include work to develop a corporate identity for Transaction Partnership, a new Liverpool-based consultancy.

If's brief for Transaction Partnership includes the new company's name,
logo and properties, together with the development of web design as
part of an overall marketing communications plan.

BJL’s digital team is currently headed up by Ex-McCann-i chief, David Crawford, who arrived as the agency’s digital director in October 2007.
