Ten Alps MTD in digital acquisition hunt

The MD of Ten Alps MTD has intimated that he is now interested in acquiring a digital agency, having long-admitted to being on the hunt for a Scottish advertising agency.

The claim could signal a failure in the agency’s search to acquire an appropriate ad agency in Scotland.

However, Vince Meiklejohn told The Drum that he was keeping an open mind: “In Scotland we are increasingly active in digital. If the right opportunity presented itself, we would like to acquire a digital firm. We are keen to pursue options within the communications sector, but digital is a focus.”

In February, Meiklejohn claimed to have around £10m to spend on acquiring suitable agencies in Scotland.

Meanwhile, Ten Alps has acquired Newcastle-based video production company, Twenty First Century Media, which has offices in Glasgow.
