MEC Manchester has dislodged incumbent Feather Brooksbank to land the £10m media planning and buying account for transport operator FirstGroup.

Feather Brooksbank has held the business since 2000, and is understood to have re-pitched alongside other agencies including MediaCom.

FirstGroup offers train and bus services and its passenger operations include regional, intercity and commuter services - First Great Western, First ScotRail, First Capital Connect, First TransPennine Express and First GBRf. All were included in the review

The new contract is expected to last four years. FirstGroup called a pitch as part of a statutory review in January this year.
