Mediacom Scotland is expanding into Ireland as it seeks to build a £150m turnover business by 2011.

The media agency is opening in Dublin where it has already won contracts with the likes of Nokia and Wrigley.

MediaCom MD, Euan Jarvie said the aim of the expansion is to allow the agency to win more business from multinational firms that often overlook Scotland, yet have separate ad budgets for Ireland.

Jarvie is aiming for the Irish business to generate a turnover of £50m over the next two to three years, and is targeting an extra £25m in turnover from Scotland. MediaCom Scotland currently turns over £75m a year, and Jarvie has previously stated that he aims to turn the Scottish operation of Mediacom into a £100m business.
