The Weekly Wrap: Nick Bradshaw – Connectpoint

Advertising / All

This week the good news has got to be the Olympics. We can once again be a nation that is genuinely proud of itself, and we owe a huge debt of gratitude to all those athletes whose commitment has resulted in this. It’s been a bloody long time coming, and we really mustn’t underestimate the scale of the achievement – psychologically, it’s a mammoth shift! Interestingly, when interviewed, Michael Phelps (American swimmer) commented that when his trainer forced him to work on aspects of his sport that he didn’t like, he was told to see it as ‘money in the bank’ – euphemistically speaking ‘credit he might one day need to cash in’. Which brings me neatly onto my other observations of the week.
