Leeds Museum campaign created by Purebrand

Purebrand Creative Communications has been commissioned by Leeds City Council to create and deliver the pre-opening promotional campaign for the Leeds City Museum, set to become one of the city's major visitor attractions.

The promotional campaign for the launch of the museum will begin in August and will include both magazine and newspaper advertising and ads across West Yorkshire's transport system. Purebrand has also been tasked to create a range of promotional material and merchandise for when the museum opens in September.

Purebrand's latest task for Leeds City Council sees the continuation of a partnership that began in 2001 with the creation of the Accesspoint brand and marketing for Leeds' libraries.

Ben Fox, head of client services, Purebrand, said: “Purebrand has a great relationship with Leeds City Council and this contract to help launch Leeds City Museum is a wonderful opportunity to exercise our creativity and ensure the museum's strategic objectives are achieved.”

Leeds City Museum will be situated in the transformed Grade II listed former Civic Theatre building next to Leeds' Millennium Square. It is jointly funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, Leeds City Council, the Single Regeneration Budget and Yorkshire Forward, and will be free to enter.
