Darren Navier has joined Leeds-based digital agency Numiko as its creative director.
This is a new role created by the agency, which welcomed Navier at the beginning of this week.
Previously London-based, he worked in senior creative posts in agencies including Agency.com before helping launch M&C Saatchi's digital marketing arm, Play.
He moved to the North to join Propaganda to become interactive director, a move which ultimately didn't work out and they parted company.
Navier’s role at Numiko will also see him work on new business, while overseeing the creative output. As a result he will oversee a team of six.
David Eccles, managing director of Numiko, confirmed that Navier had joined the agency, and explained the creation of the role.
He said: “Because of the kind of work that we do, we were looking for someone that wasn’t into traditional new business, we needed someone who could consult with our clients in a creative way. Working on new projects will be important as he will be able to see the effectiveness of the projects, from making new business contacts, all the way through to the creation of the work. We needed someone who could do that and join up client relationships and the execution of the work,” said Eccles.
The agency has also recently appointed Jason Stocks-Young as Numiko’s new operations manager.
Before joining Numiko, Stocks-Young was based in London and worked for an array of large agencies including Oglivy Mather, Glue, Saatchi & Saatchi and Agency.com.
Also recently hired is Natasha Zelem as project manager.
Zelem was previously a Senior Interactive Account Manager at JDA.
