Setanta and STV agree champions league coverage deal

Setanta has agreed a deal with STV which will see both team up to broadcast Celtic’s remaining matches in the group stages of the Champions League this season.

Rob Maclean will present the live games, with former Celtic striker John Hartson while Jim Delahunt will present the three highlights programmes, with Hartson as his guest. Ian Crocker and Craig Burley will be the commentary team.

Bobby Hain, managing director of STV, said:  “We’re delighted to be working with Setanta to bring Champions League football to free-to-air television.  We know how important football is to our viewers so this is fantastic news for all involved.  We have an excellent relationship with Setanta, with whom we share a building and studio facilities, and we look forward to working with them more closely to bring top quality Champions League coverage to STV.”
