Galaxy Scotland, the new station which will launch following the rebrand of XFM Scotland, will begin broadcasting on Saturday 8 November it has been announced.

The station will broadcast from the XFM studios on Pacific Quay in Glasgow, joining Global Network’s Galaxy brand which already broadcasts across Manchester, Birmingham, Yorkshire and the North East targeting 20-29 year old listeners.

In a statement originally released in August, Richard Park, group executive for Global Radio said: “Central Scotland can prepare itself to receive Britain’s fastest growing radio station aimed at young people and the prospect of the output from the Glasgow studios is a very exciting one.”
