Lloyds TSB Scotland's Metcalfe to head up DMA

The Direct Marketing Association has appointed David Metcalfe, head of wholesale banking development at Lloyds TSB Scotland as head of the Direct Marketing Association UK (DMA).

Metcalfe is to take over the role of chair of the DMA's newly formed Board and Advisory
Council.

Fedelma Good, head of marketing for privacy & suppression management for Barclays has been elected as deputy chair of the DMA.

Jan Morris, Chair of the DMA's Scotland Council and colleague Gillian Lyall have also been elected to serve on the DMA UK board.

Metcalfe said: "I'm delighted to have been appointed Chair of the Direct Marketing Association at a time when the organisation is making strides to grow membership and to provide even further value to the existing members.

"No doubt there are challenges ahead, particularly given the economic outlook, however, I feel very strongly that the Association is well positioned to address them and I am sure this will be a dynamic time for the direct marketing industry."
