Ninety years on from WW1 a new exhibition which looks to celebrate the role played by the Post Office during the War has tasked design agency Silk Pearce with its creative work.

The Colchester based agency which recently completed the design of a book of stamps looking back on the history of the RAF, has now created the exhibition and display materials for ‘Last Post: Remembering the First World War’.

As a result the agency designed graphic panels, invitations to the preview opening, and created promotional leaflets and posters.

The design team also helped with the installation of the displays as the agency looks to deliver ‘a fresh, contemporary feel’ while incorporating images of war, letters and materials from the time.

The event, which is opened on 6 November at the Churchill Museum & Cabinet War Rooms, London will run until the end of February 2009 before embarking on a three year tour of 15 museums across the UK.
