Following the announcement of the Scottish Government’s marketing roster, Edinburgh based marketing agency Family, which was displaced from the list has said that the move will have no great impact on the company.

The agency was one of the previous agencies to work on the roster, but had no had much work from it since it lost its ‘Flu’ account last year to The Leith Agency.

Ian Wright, managing director of Family, said: “Obviously we are disappointed not to be selected, however to us the decision is probably not that surprising. We’re very proud of the work we have done for both the Scottish Government and VisitScotland over the last four years and in particular the awards for effectiveness that we have won.”

Wright continued to explain that the Government’s work only counted for five per-cent of Family’s business following the launch of two joint ventures, Perfect Storm and Aunty Vera, while it is also expected to announce two new joint ventures as it moves into content creation and the youth markets early next year.

The news follows rumours, which proved false, that the agency had ceased trading in October.
