Huzu, a new social media platform created by DA Group, has launched, designed to create, support and build online communities for brands with all the socialising and user generated content features familiar to the major social networks.

The platform is now targeting brands looking to translate social networking into a mainstream component of major marketing campaigns, with the objective of adding interactivity.

Its launch is boosted by inaugural partnerships with Ogilvy, Big Interactive and The Union.

Speaking of Huzu, Mike Antliff, DA Group's CEO explained: “This is a truly integrated communications system that transforms social media into a seriously powerful tool for a variety of digital agencies and marketing organisations.

“Many brands have tested the social networking water. Adidas, BMW, Microsoft, Coco-Cola, Sony and Nissan are just some of the big names using Second Life for product launches, demonstrating new ideas and assessing customer feedback.

“Huzu offers brands the opportunity to begin to create their own immersive communities, where like-minded ‘fans’ opt-in to a customised virtual world. By adopting the transparency integral to social media environments, the opportunity is to evolve a brand engagement that is built on trust, understanding and a two way dialogue.

“That’s why we’re so delighted to be able to move forward with strategic and evaluation partnerships with Ogilvy, The Union and Big Interactive.”
