New Transport Info site created by Rippleffect

A new online information system which will look to help keep public transport passengers informed of the timetable and schedule changes in South Yorkshire is being developed by Rippleffect.

The website will look to improve communication Travel South Yorkshire and allow its customers to register for updates and changes to bus and tram timetables as they happen.

The improved system will be used to manage updates to customers through both email and the more traditional postal subscriptions.

A complementary email marketing system is also being developed which can be used to communicate details of seasonal promotions and other marketing messages.

Alec Woolford, technical director at Rippleffect, said: “The system works in synchronisation with enquiries that come into the SYPTE Traveline call centre. Every step of our development has had to consider the high volume of traffic to the site and the need for tailored information for customers.

“The system will help deliver a consistently high level of service to all travellers across different media.”
