Open Glasgow closed while The Bridge MBO completed

The Drum has learned that Open Glasgow, the Scottish division of the All About Brands UK advertising company, has closed its doors.

The agency headed up by Liz O’Connor, creative director and Daniel Clare, managing director is thought to have closed just before the end of last year.

Clare has already taken on a new role in the Far East while O’Connor is concentrating on her consultancy business Ethic which she was running concurrently alongside the business.

Explained O’Connor: “Daniel I were getting more work on our own, me with Ethic and Daniel in O&M, more than Open was getting. London is still going but obviously as the Credit Crunch crunched we were the least of their priorities. We have left no debts and everything is settled.”

Open Glasgow opened in 2007 by O'Connor and brought Clare on board at the beginning of 2007. It then won its first retained advertising account when it picked up fledgling Wolverhampton based finance company Debt Busters that April.

It is also thought that O’Connor and her former colleagues at The Bridge, Brian Crook and Jonathan d’Aguilar have now sold their shares in The Bridge and departed  following an agreement on Friday with its new management team.
