ATP has been appointed to handle the marketing of sk:n, the skin treatments provider which has 30 clinics across the UK.

The account is worth £2.5m to Leeds-based ATP, which will be responsible for the design and production of all of the firm's marketing collateral, including POS, direct mail and e-marketing.

The agency has also been tasked with buying sk:n's media and has already worked on a new television commercial for the firm which has recently aired.

ATP's brief to handle the marketing account follows the earlier appointment of its chairman, Andrew Thirkill, as a marketing consultant for sk:n. He oversaw a significant reorganisation of its marketing department in early 2008.

Thirkill, pictured, said: "There is no getting away from the fact that the credit crunch is having a major impact on the high street. It is essential therefore that retailers work ‘smarter’ to ensure they continue to attract and retain customers."
