Manchester based media agency Mediaedge:cia has agreed a sponsorship deal with national dance event, Move It! as it looks to position its client MAOAM within the teen market.

Sponsorship of the Freestyle stage at the national event, which will be held at The Grand Hall at London Olympia from Friday 6 – Sunday 8 March, meets with the client’s objective to promote to the teen market that they should lead an active lifestyle while having fun trying out new things.

This sponsorship is part of a larger campaign with MAOAM scheduled throughout 2009 to include national TV, sponsorship and radio advertising to raise brand awareness to young adults.

Attracting more than 20,000 attendees over three days, the event is hoped to achieve enhanced brand recognition with the support of dedicated NPD sampling activity; an event marketing campaign that comprises of half a million pieces of direct marketing and PR to target specialist dance, regional and national media.

Kirsty Donkersley, MEC access manager at MEC Manchester, commented: “This event is ideally positioned for MAOAM. The combination of sampling, DM and PR support has provided an all encompassing approach to the initiative.”

MAOAM brand manager, Lindsey Bevan said: “As the sponsor of the Freestyle stage at an event with the profile that Move It! can command, we are sending out a clear message that we want to engage with the audience in a way that suits and supports them.”
