Manchester City has announced the David Pullan is to take the role of brand and marketing officer as the club looks to grow its brand and international reputation.

Pullan joins from Aegis where as president of service solutions since August 2007.

He will work alongside marketing director Matt Lowery and will also join the club’s newly formed executive leadership team which includes Graham Wallace, chief financial and administration officer and football administration officer, Brian Marwood.

The club is looking to grow its international recognition following its acquisition by the Abu Dhabi United Group last September.

It is also thought that the club is negotiating a new shirt sponsorship deal with United Arab Emirates carrier Etihad Airlines after tour operator Thomas Cook confirmed earlier this year that it would not be sponsoring the team next season.
