Following a competitive three way pitch, Glasgow-based design consultancy, 3d8 has been appointed to design the new studio space for Equator.

The new studio space is 6500 sq ft and will be able to house a team of up to 70 staff.

In simple terms, the brief was to create a 'studio' space as opposed to an 'office' – a space that encourages staff to express their creativity and exchange their ideas and that caters for the sociable style of the company.

3d8 was appointed as the client felt their proposals "best captured the vision and personality of Equator."

The new development is currently under construction and due for completion in June 2009.
