D8’s Birmingham studio has designed the identity, trophies and communications for The Activision First Light Movies Awards 2009. The star-studded award ceremony was held this week at Odeon Leicester Square.

Now in its seventh year the annual celebration of young people's filmmaking has established itself as a fixture on the film awards calendar. T4’s Miquita Oliver and Rick Edwards hosted the award ceremony at the Odeon Leicester Square with stars including Sienna Miller, Michael Sheen and Danny Boyle presenting awards.
 
Based around stickers and hand-drawn type the identity was developed across invitations, programmes, animation, event signage, DVDs and nine custom awards formed from layers of coloured perspex.
