This year’s Scottish Design Awards nominations were announced last night (18 March) at an exhibition of work held at Candleriggs Bar at The Fruitmarket in Glasgow.

Celebrating the best of Scottish Design and Architecture over the last year, the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony to be held on 29 May at The Crowne Plaza in Glasgow.

Nominated for Designer/Design Team of the Year are Studio LR and Suisse while Navyblue and Whitespace will compete for the Direct Mail prize.

Corporate Identity nominations have been handed to Tayburn and Various while Elmwood has picked up the only nomination in the Poster category for Telford College’s exhibition 08.

Locofoco and Elmwood are both nominated in the Packaging category while Stand has picked up both nominations in the Exhibition/Point of Sale Category.
