Exeter-based marketing agency RH Advertising has appointed Paul Ridgers as managing director, replacing Richard Marsh who has become executive chairman.
Ridgers has been promoted from the role of client services director which he has occupied since joining the agency in 2003 having previously worked in London at agencies such as Bates and DMN&B.
Marsh will now focus on the development of new business, while David Smith will continue as commercial director.
Ridgers will now look to form a new management board which will include creative director, Geoff Dodd and new arrival Katherine Almond as director of media and research having joined from Abbott Mead Vickers.
Ridgers said: “In recent years Richard has helped us become one of the most successful advertising agencies in the South West, employing a unique blend of local and London talent and capitalising on innovation and expertise.
“I am looking forward to building on that success, and strengthening our reputation as the South West’s premier independent agency. RH is already well positioned to enjoy further growth and flourish throughout the downturn, in fact we are actively looking to recruit new talent.”
