Behind the scenes - first Wallace and Gromit NPower ad

Here is a look behind the scenes of the new NPower advert featuring Aardman Animations' Wallace and Gromit.

The 30 second advert, created by BMB and animated by the Bristol-based studio, is the first in a series which will star the duo over the next two years as they learn to become more energy efficient around their home.

The ad, which took five weeks to shoot, will go to air on the evening of 28 March and will highlight how the energy company is helping make energy efficiency easy and fun.

Joan Coe, head of brand communications, NPower, said: “Wallace and Gromit are the most famous film pairing in Britain. Their cosy personas and ‘have a go’ approach to energy efficiency is what we need to help people see how simple it is to make small changes but a big difference to their energy bills.”

Aardman director, Merlin Crossingham, added: "Every Wallace and Gromit film presents a new challenge for us, like Wallace we often have to be inventive too. This time it was a case of Wallace not revealing all, ultimately Gromit saved the day."
