Focus DIY has announced that it has appointed two new agencies to handle its media planning and buying - a move that replaces current agency Mediaedge:cia.

EGS will take over communication planning and the7stars will handle media buying in a changeover effective immediately.

Speaking of the new developments, commercial director, Penny Teale said: “The decision to split the planning and buying has been a strategic business decision. We undertook a review and found two suppliers who were better suited to meet our business needs."

Pete Edwards from EGS said: "We are delighted to be working with Focus and look forward to helping them drive effectiveness from their media budget". Mark Jarvis of the7stars continued: "Focus wanted to enhance media value through short term flexibility and that is exactly what we deliver.”
