Scottish Government airgun campaign by Newhaven

The Scottish Government has launched a new campaign to highlight the dangers of using replica guns and air guns.

Created by Newhaven, the initial two week run of the campaign will include TV, washroom ads, on-line gaming ads, internet virals, posters, leaflets and a dedicated website.

The campaign, created by Newhaven's senior creative team of Rufus Wedderburn and Chris Watson, has two different creative elements - one to highlight the danger that air guns carry and the other to raise awareness of the prison sentences that can be incurred for their dangerous useage.

Photography was by Robbie Smith.

Mediacom, the Scottish Government’s retained media buyer, handled the buying and planning with the second burst appearing in June.

Really like the look of this campaign. It's not an easy subject to tackle as could easyily be done to look 'cool' and end up glorifying their useage.

The TV ad's a bit haunting too.
