Rapport Creative gets Green Thumb TV brief

Rapport Creative, the Chester-based digital communications company and production house, has completed a 30 second TV ad for UK lawn treatment specialists GreenThumb.

The commercial launched yesterday on UTV in Northern Ireland and will roll out to stations across the country later in the year.

The “happy grass” campaign uses a mixture of both conventional film techniques and 3D character animation. Rapport’s team created “sad” and “happy” grass, a menacing punk dandelion and nightmare bugs to help convey the benefits of the GreenThumb service. A press campaign and point-of-sale material are also under development.

Rapport Creative MD, Andy Porter, commented: “This is the first time GreenThumb have used broadcast media so it’s an exciting project for us to be involved in – the commercial’s director, producer and music composer are all GreenThumb customers so it was a project close to our hearts!”

Head of marketing at GreenThumb, David Collison added: “We hired Rapport Creative to produce a TV ad for us – the quality of work and enthusiasm they have shown for our service and understanding they have developed has meant we have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and look forward to continuing our relationship with them."
