SPT £5 park and ride TV promo by The Bridge

A new TV advertising campaign for Scottish Passenger Transport has begun airing on STV created by The Bridge.

The campaign follows the now long tried and tested animation route, this time promoting taking the Subway into Glasgow City Centre with the new Park and Ride rate of £5, with a voiceover by head of communications Bob Wylie.

Executionally, clean and simple and reinforces the message. Congratulations to the animator on a fine job, it should get viewer's attention with it's stripped-back visual.

But it's the message that I have an issue with unfortunately. It's a bit, "so-what?" – I'm fairly certain most drivers understand the benefits of using a Park & Ride. Does £5 represent good value? Not sure I'd care enough to want to find out.
