The contract to manage the advertising account for Merseyrail stations and trains has been retained by CBS Outdoor following a competitive pitch.

The five year contract is worth £4million and will begin this month.

CBS Outdoor, which has held the account since 2004, will be tasked to continue to manage the majority of the advertising for Merseyrail which will include standard sites on stations, passenger panels on trains and bespoke opportunities through its Impact team.  

Matt Roche, head of marketing at Merseyrail, commented:  “With its expertise in the transport market, CBS Outdoor has continually delivered exciting propositions to raise the profile of the advertising across our rail network.  We are looking forward to continuing to build on our successful partnership and to take it forward over the next five years.”

CBS Outdoor also manages advertising on the Manchester Metrolink, Tyne & Wear Metro, Sheffield Supertram, and the Midland Metro.
