The former managing director of McCann-I, Andrew Thomas has been appointed as non-executive director of brand and digital agency Fudge.

Thomas founded McCann’s digital operation in Manchester 1999 which saw him made responsible for developing brands such as Sainsbury’s Bank, Thomson Holidays and Magnet migrate their marketing spend online and develop significant digital propositions.
He left the company in 2004 when he joined Pavilion Communications as managing director where he oversaw the acquisition by Hasgrove Group, until he joined Bounty in 2005 where he was executive director until the end of last year following a £70million buyout by Canadian company Kaboose. Despite this, he remains a trustee of the Bounty Charitable Trust.

He is also a media development professional with Northwest Vision and Media and an associate coach working with Winning Pitch on the Northwest Regional Development Agency’s High Growth Programme.

David Eccles, managing director of Fudge, commented:  “Bringing Andrew into the mix demonstrates Fudge’s determination to achieve further growth in the next three years, cementing its position as one of the leading digital agencies in the region.”

Thomas explained: “Fudge’s proposition is compelling – marrying strategically-led project insight with a great deal of creative energy, and I am immensely looking forward to working with the team on developing the business further.”

"he joined Pavilion Communications as managing director where he oversaw the acquisition by Hasgrove Group"...err, no, he didn't. That happened 2.5 years later. Fundamental inaccuracy.
