Euan Jarvie, former MD of Mediacom Scotland and Ireland, has joined the media firm's US executive team in the newly created position of managing partner, chief client officer.

Based in New York, he will report to Doug Checkeris, CEO of MediaCom North America.

In his new role as chief client officer, he will help develop all aspects of client facing operations, focusing on areas such as organisational structure, talent development, best practices and collaboration.  In addition, as part of the U.S. senior leadership team, Jarvie will help drive growth and set overall direction for the organization.

Jarvie  joined MediaCom in 1997 to found the company’s first Edinburgh office. Last year, Jarvie was charged with starting MediaCom’s operation in the Republic of Ireland, before taking a Lonon-based global role at the start of this year.

Prior to joining MediaCom, he held positions at several major agencies, including WWAV Rapp Collins, O&M Media, TMD Carat Manchester and Zenith Media.
