Bristol agency True Digital has been chosen from a shortlist of five to redesign the English Heritage website.
The redesign will include the introduction of a new content management system, and a rethink of the site's functionality.
Tim Jones, Director at True Digital, said: “The new site will be much more user centred and will include new functionality, reflecting the real potential of the digital channel, and the diverse requirements of their different audiences.”
The new website aims to brign to life the breadth of English Heritage's responsibilities, which range from increasing promoting heritage sites to education and research.
True Digital will work closely with English Heritage's internal web team and selected partner agencies on the brief.
Fiona Higho, head of online communications at English Heritage, said: “Developing the new site will be a very collaborative process and we were particularly impressed with True Digital’s track record of working with complex organisations where they had to take into account the views of a wide range of stakeholders.”
