Fulham FC is to launch a newly re-designed website which will be undertaken by Liverpool digital agency Rippleffect.
The agency won a competitive pitch to redesign the site which will include new content, features and create ‘a more streamlined experience for users.’
The site currently attracts around 130,000 unique users a month will be launched ahead of the new 09/10 Premier League season and will aim to provide a better visitor experience, and to increase the frequency of visits to Fulham’s website. It will also look to increase the time users spend on the site, providing advertisers with a more engaged audience.
The brief has also meant that Rippleffect will aim to ensure that it can drive the online commercial opportunities of the football club through advertising and functionality. The improved usability allows easier ticket booking and merchandise purchases.
Ben Hatton, managing director at Rippleffect, said: “The new site is part of Fulham Football Club’s ongoing drive to enhance their supporters’ experience of dealing with the club.
“The 2009/10 season will see the club competing in Europe for only the second time in its history. Playing in the new Europa League will massively raise awareness of the brand and help grow its fan base. The website will meet the requirements expected of a European club and deliver an excellent user experience for its fans at this time of increased demand for the club’s online services.”
Sarah Brookes, head of communications and marketing at Fulham FC, said: “Having previously worked with Rippleffect, we were confident that the agency would provide us with a creative, fresh and innovative approach to best deliver our requirements. By fully understanding the club and its supporters, Rippleffect’s team can help us provide a solution that will enable us to provide a bespoke user experience to fully engage with our fans both domestically and internationally.”
