The Scottish Government funded company RenewNet, which looks to exploit Scotland’s position in the energy renewables sector has undergone a logo redesign, created by Story.

The Edinburgh agency’s was briefed was to create an identity and suite of marketing materials communicating the client’s offering.

 As an information base and hub linking Scottish SMEs with public sector organisations involved in the renewable energy sector, RenewNet’s aim is to increase their contacts with SMEs who could benefit from their services and to drive activity to its website.

Brand guidelines, including a new logo, that work online as well as throughout all materials have been created and key messages are brought to life with user-friendly information and simple headlines: ‘Renewables: Putting the how in Know-how’ and ‘Try cutting edge instead of cutting back’.

Material includes a leaflet, poster, postcard flyer, stationery materials and new creative for the website.

Dave Mullen, creative director at Story, commented: “RenewNet’s new brand look and feel is actually about bringing people together and sharing knowledge and information. Story has a great deal of experience in developing and managing networks of people sharing a common interest. We’ve focused on this shared interest and created brand guidelines and materials that will inform and engage our target audience.”
