Rebel Virals to take the stage at Glastonbury

Bristol viral marketing agency Rebel Virals will be appearing on the main stage at Glastonbury this year debuting their viral work for the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET).
Thanks to the BBC the agency's new viral "Monkeys" will be shown on two massive 25m screens to a crowd of 170,000 people. The broadcaster is putting up the screens for the first time this year to showcase the best new film making and digital talent from the South West.
Positioned back-to-back, the screens will broadcast a mix of short films, archive footage, gaming sessions, classic pop and highlights of the BBC's coverage of the Festival from 10.00am to 3.00am every day.
The screens will also be used to launch an open call to young and emerging filmmakers and artists to submit short films and projects for the 2010 Village Screen with potential distribution to the UK network of big screens in city centres.
James Trezona, Director of Rebel Virals, says: "This is a great idea from the BBC that will enrich the Glastonbury experience and provide a fun counterpoint to the music. "Monkeys", set in a safari park environment, shows some loveable creatures disappearing with various bits of visitors' cars and then bursting out of the bushes driving their own hot rod. I guess it's a case of "Chimp My Ride."
