Birmingham agency Seal created the branding and poster campaign to welcome Rotarians to the city for their 100th convention which was held last week.

The meeting saw more than 16,000 international delegates from 1555 countries gather at the NEC for the most important event in the Rotarian calendar in its fight against Polio.

The campaign, which was commissioned by Marketing Birmingham, featured on lamppost pennants, plasma screens and boards around the city, while a 76page brochure was used to encourage delegates to tour the city and the West Midlands.

The creative campaign was supported by Seal’s PR team who worked with its client the regional development agency Advantage West Midlands to promote key visitor attractions in the Heart of England which would appeal to visiting delegates.

Phil Birchall, creative director at Seal, said: “Being involved in such a high-profile international event was exciting enough, but having the opportunity to dress the city for the first time was incredible.

“Birmingham really pulled out the stops for the Rotarians and Seal is very proud of its role in creating such a warm welcome.”
