The Scottish Government has appointed Golley Slater Scotland to handle a PR campaign which will promote the Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) portal to Scottish businesses.

The Edinburgh based office of the company won the brief following a four-way-pitch which will see it create a programme of media relations, stakeholder liaison and event management support which will aim to drive SME business to register on the PCS website.

Gary Robinson, procurement development manager, explained:  “Following the launch of the Public Contracts Scotland web site last year, we were looking to appoint a Public Relations consultancy to build upon our work and provide a dedicated service to promote the commercial benefits to SMEs to register on the web site.”

Ian Dommett, managing director for Golley Slater in Scotland, stated:  “I believe our planning and implementation strategy stood out as well as our creative ideas to further raise the profile of the PCS web site to Scotland’s SMEs.  In addition, the strength of our team and our expertise and professionalism in the business to business sector added greatly to our submission.”
