Some nice bits in it, but not outstanding.
So, the luminaries on the Cannes jury gave it a gold. But Anon wasn't too impressed.
Can't imagine the Golley Slater team will be crying themselves to sleep, wondering where they went wrong.
Brilliantly directed, brilliantly shot and probably as effective an idea for this sector as it could possibly be. And for once the accident itself doesn't look a bit crap or over-egged.
Ned on the bridge, paramedic looking away.... Compelling stuff. Deserved winner.
Actually Chris, Anon does like it. I just think that it's pretty impossible for a creative with this brief not to do something good. However, compared to some of AMV's anti-drink drive stuff (i know this isn't the same brief) i don't think it's up there with it.
I bet bike sale take a tumble.
Beautifully shot and executed. Love the cutting between waiting scenes and the mentalist on the bike. It has a real poise and sense of foreboding. The accident is brutal but realistic. The music is the cherry on the cake. Top work well done guys.
Any creative would strangle his Nan to have it in their book.
