Sarah Hall, head of Golley Slater North East, has been placed on ‘Gardening Leave’ after deciding to leave the agency.
It is understood that Hall has chosen to leave the Newcastle office of Golley Slater, which she headed up, to launch her own consultancy.
Hall joined in October 2006 from rival Newcastle marketing operation Robson Brown.
A spokesperson for Golley Slater, explained: “Sarah has made a decision to leave the business with the intention of setting up on her own. We are very grateful for the hard work she’s put in over the last couple of years and she goes with our best wishes.”
The spokesperson admitted that a successor had been found to take over but was not yet in place.
An announcement of the successor is expected in the coming fortnight.

She can come mow my lawn and do some weeding if she's quiet.
The number and nature of the comments below shows how well respected Sarah is by those of us that know and/or have worked with her - seems a bit silly of GS to send her to the potting shed when she'd have no doubt worked with her usual energy until the end of her notice, but I guess these things happen. Will be watching her no doubt swift progress with interest.
